Completing Your Installation

Start AutoCAD's appload command by typing APPLOAD or picking Tools->Load Application... from your pull-down menu.

Click the Contents... button in the Startup Suite section of the dialog. Click the Add... button, then locate and Add the StartupCodeZebra.VLX file located in your FlowTools installation folder. The default location of this file is C:\CZebra\StartupCodeZebra.VLX, but you may have installed it elsewhere. Close the Startup Suite dialog, then the main dialog.

If you have a prior version of FlowTools, LivingLegend or Symbols installed, remove all older VLX files from your Startup Suite and restart AutoCAD.

For AutoCAD 2004 and higher, open a new drawing.

Starting FlowTools and LivingLegend

Type FLOWTOOLS at the command prompt.

command: flowtools (for LivingLegend only type SETUPLEGEND)

You may position the FlowTools, LivingLegend and Symbols toolbars anywhere on your drawing window.

Quick-Key Commands

This step is optional. To setup FlowTool's and LivingLegend's quick-key commands, use a text editor to append the text below to the contents of your ACAD.PGP file, located in your AutoCAD application Support folder.

Exit and restart AutoCAD to make the commands effective.

Unloading FlowTools

To temporarily unload the FlowTools application to prevent loading in subsequent drawings, select Flow->Help->Unload FlowTools Application from the menu.

To unload the FlowTools application and its menus, select Flow->Help->Unload FlowTools Menus from the menu.

These commands do not uninstall FlowTools, and FlowTools can be restarted at anytime by entering FLOWTOOLS at the command prompt.

To uninstall FlowTools, type UNINSTALLFLOWTOOLS at the command prompt.

Troubleshooting

If FlowTools won’t load when you type flowtools at the command prompt, check the following:

Is StartupCodeZebra.VLX listed in your APPLOAD Startup Suite?

Environmental Variables

New slide files created by FlowTools are placed either in flowdir\FLOWSLDS or the location specified by the environmental variable FLOWSLIDES, if it exists.

All the slide files used to generate a custom image menu must remain available in AutoCAD's search path or the FLOWSLDS folder in order to rebuild the custom menu slide library. Therefore, do not delete the individual slide files associated with your custom menu files.
